A couple of months ago, we predicted that England wouldn't even break sweat beating an abysmal West Indies team on their own turf, even though Kevin Pietersen's head had just exploded in a shower of ego, half the team were eyeing up the millions on offer in India and the fact that we were talking about England - which is usually enough on its own for us not to make rash predictions based on common sense.
