Tim Krul | Newcastle United
The Dutch goalie was in sicking form over the weekend making a string of saves. Really it was unfair how good he was...but then you remember it was against Spurs. No doubt his confidence will have sky-rocketed.
Phil Bardsley | Sunderland
Sunderland are in the midst of a revival; I'd suggest getting on at the next station. The former Man United defender finished expertly against city and defended resolutely.
Phil Jones | Manchester United
Wait, before you read this, google 'Phil Jones faces'. Ha! Excellent. Anyway, the defender was a hindrance to Arsenal's free flowing football over the weekend from centre midfield then the centre of the defence. That form should carry to next week.
Wes Brown | Sunderland
After a nearly two year absence, the defender came back in supreme form proving that he still has class.....or really hates City given that he's a Manchester United supporter.
Martin Skrtel | Liverpool
We can't believe it either right? This guy was on the verge of being sold but has been in incredible form. Shows what competition for places can do.
Leandro Bacuna | Aston Villa
The Villa midfielder is proving very useful especially f he keeps slotting in the those free-kicks at pivotal moments.
Steven Gerrard | Liverpool
The old dog still has a few tricks up his sleeve as he ran the midfield for Liverpool against. Casually spraying a few passes across the pitch opened the opposition up nicely.
Eden Hazard | Chelsea
Despite being title favourites Chelsea seem a bit unstable at the moment but one person you can count on (and for Maureen to actually pick regularly) is Hazard. The skilful midfielder also has the responsibility for penalties which will be awarded in the last minute to preserve Jose's home record.
Adam Lallana | Southampton
Right now it's just safe to pick a Southampton player but none more so than their captain. Did you see his goal last week? Oooh killem!
Wilfried Bony | Swansea
The Ivory Coast striker has struggled for the most part this season after his £12 million move but has come to the fore in the absence of Michu. Look at the size of the guy! It was only a matter of time before he burst the back of the net. Pick him!
Luis Suarez | Liverpool
Yes, he is a dick but the man is the best player in the league. How can you not have him in the team? He returns from a 10 game ban and provides 8 goals in 5 games to become joint top scorer. That's class!
