Following Billie drinking too much at the party, his family leave him to sleep it off in the front room, but when Bianca goes to wake him up, she soon realises he is dead as he is unresponsive. Shocked she phones Carol and tells her to come home from the bookies. As Carol returns home she's shocked and doesn't understand how Billie can be dead as he was alive and well, although drunk the night before. Emotional scenes play out as the whole family is struck with grief, and the undertakers arrive and take Billie away. When Max and his family turn up to see how they can help, Lauren acts inappropriately and smirks at the news, which sends Carol over the edge and she goes for her young niece. Later Lauren admits to Abi that she was the last one to see Billie alive, but will it hold any clues to his death. The doctor has informed Carol that it is highly likely that his death was due to alcohol consumption. Carol is broken hearted further as she goes through Billie's laptop and finds a video of him and his friend Connor singing a song about mothers and then Billie says how he wishes his would fall over and die, but how will this affect the grief stricken mother. Meanwhile Billy's estranged friend Julie Perkins from the children's home shows up unannounced and reveals the reason she won't give evidence against Henry Davis.
