The Best Sydney Pubs
The Harbour Bridge is one of Sydney’s world famous icons, there are absolutely stunning scenic views and an atmosphere that is ultra modern and yet still has a historic old English feel to it... A major part of the Sydney pub scene is focused around it, in The Rocks and Circular Quay, with a lot of old pubs including the Orient, The Glenmore, The Australian and the Harbour View to name a few.
For beach pubs Sydney has a few golden ones of these as well. In Bondi one of the best spots for a cold schooner, cheap too, is the North Bondi RSL. This has one of the best views in town looking out over the beautiful Bondi beach. There is also Ravesis, a trendy style pub that offers a sports feel and a perfect place to sit and people watch and of course the iconic Beach Road Hotel, not on the beach but known for hosting great live music. Bondi has a great European holiday feel to it, with its multi-cultural mostly southern European cafes on Hall Street and elsewhere. Coogee also offers some vibrant pubs, especially the Coogee Bay Hotel or CBH as it's known, with that laid back feel it has great coastal walks and a good food and a beach café culture. As you head up to the northern beaches you will find lots of pubs on the beach as well as surf clubs that now have a liquor license and often some of the best views around. One thing’s for sure Sydney pubs are certainly not lacking in variety with a diverse collection of watering holes on offer in every part of the city.
