Located at the end of the Eyre Peninsula, Port Lincoln flourishes with life on land and at sea. In fact, it's so gorgeous that the annual Tunarama Festival is held here every Australia Day weekend. Okay, maybe the tunafest has nothing to do with its beauty but if you're looking for a fun holiday this is definitely the place.

The beaches are fantastic here but if you get bored with lounging in the sand simply visit the visitor information centre. Here you can take part in countless activities on land and at sea. If you're a licensed diver, why not rent some scuba equipment? (reasonably priced at around $80 a day) If that's not your bag of tea try one of the various cruises including dolphin and whale watching tours. Although, the adventures at sea only comprise half of what the folks at the info centre have available. Visitors can enjoy doing a variety of land tours including one of the town and Whalers Way. Or if you're feeling a bit dangerous, take a 4WD exploration of the Coffin Bay Peninsula. Coffin Bay is also famous Australia wide for it's delicious oysters, so be sure to sample the local cuisine and even take a tour of the oyster farms.

If you have a bit of cash to throw around the Calypso Star Charter is a great way to put it to use. This is no leisure cruise though, it's a once in a lifetime experience that allows patrons to cage dive with great whites. However, if you're afraid you may draw too many sharks when you piss yourself then Calypso Star also does dives with sea lions (pussy). Swimming with the tuna is also a must do when visiting Port Lincoln, these speed racers of the sea are amazing to witness up close and personal.

What's that you say? Too much action and adventure? Want something more educational? Well you're in luck. Port Lincoln's location on the Boston Bay puts it right by scores of historical buildings. The closest of these being Mill Cottage which contains many paintings and artifacts from Port Clinton's earliest days. But be sure to check the hours and dates as the cottage is usually only open from 2pm - 4 on Sunday and Wednesday.
