Watch World Cup Live Sydney

If you want to watch the World Cup live then there aren't many better places than Sydney. Let's face it, to watch world cup action live is where it's at.

World Cup Soccer Ball Staying in bed, recording it and watching it later, or, er, not watching it live is not an option. Just get up, you lazy swines. Anyway, there is always that bloke who will ruin the surprise and tell you the score. And if that bloke is you then we hate you.

Because let's face it, who doesn't love getting up at a horrendous hour, looking like Lazarus, to watch the mighty New Zealand take on the artful Slovakia in a great pub?

Pubs are definitely the best place to see the 2010 World Cup live. Kings Cross has always been a Sydney hot-spot. And if there is one place where England fans are likely to get mowed down by water hoses after a game, then it's probably here.

Darling Harbour has plenty of great pubs. And guess what? It will host the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest. From June 11 to July 12, Sydney's Darling Harbour will be transformed with football fever and family fun. There's the excitement of live broadcast matches at 9.30pm, midnight and 4.30am on the giant screens.

Surry Hills is where the discerning football fan can go to watch the World Cup live. If you've got a haircut with angles that equal the sum of an isosceles triangle and like to talk about the ‘technical side' of the game, Surry Hills pubs are for you.

Another great spot to watch World Cup action live in Sydney is Darlinghurst. And that's not because it rhymes with Geoff Hurst, that chap who helped England lift the 1966 World Cup live in front of millions of people, some time around the year 1704. It's because it has scores (sorry) of pubs which will make it easy for you to soak up the atmosphere and watch the World Cup live.
