GoodGod Small Club February Listings |
Check out what's on at GoodGod Small Club, Sydney this February.
BEC SANDRIDGE Watching Bec Sandridge perform is almost like being privy to a secret. Fearful of singing publicly eight months ago, bets were placed amongst family members in attempt to coax twenty-year old singer songwriter Bec Sandridge out of her shell (or rather small, sea-town bathroom in Stanwell Park, Australia). Such bets truly paid off mid 2011. Moving from guitarist in folk-pop band Mad Polly (Melissa Creagan), sharing the stage with such international artists including PASSENGER (UK), Stu Larsen (AU), Matthew Barber (CAN), Skipping Girl Vinegar (AU), Custom Kings, Andy Bull, Owl Eyes, Yellow Fever (TEXAS) and Adalita (Magic Dirt). ELIZABETH ROSE Sydney electronic-pop producer and Triple J Next Crop artist, Elizabeth Rose, is proud to announce the release of her debut single, Ready. Layering astral beats, shadowy samples and lofty pop melodies, Elizabeth has experienced a meteoric rise since bursting onto the scene last year. ROUTE 66 PRESENTS: THE GOOCH PALMS LOS SUNDOWNERS BAIN WOLFKIND DISC JOCKEYS : DRESS CODE: BLACK TIE/GLITZ N GLAM/TEXAS TYCOON FIRE! SANTA ROSA, FIRE! Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! are a band that are as restless to succeed as their animated name suggests. Originating with high-school mates cutting their teeth recording and playing, a line-up shuffle and twin vocalists later, and theyre tearing up national festivals the likes of Big Day Out, Come Together and Laneway.
SHANTAN WANTAN ICHIBAN Last year Shantan Wantan Ichiban recruited DJs Levins and Kato to bid farewell to good friend Mike Who with a colossal club party. The speakers were pushed to their limit with new and old sounds from all over the globe. People danced till they had butt cramps. It was an epic night. The thing about epic nights is that they must be repeated a few times a year - and that is exactly what BADONKADONK is here to do! Popfrenzy presents: The return of the UK's Slow Club to Australia in February 2012 is without doubt set to be one of the musical highlights of the summer.
